Anyone who knows me, knows patience isn’t my strong suit. I am routinely hours early for anything I’m excited about. I still go to bed early Christmas Eve and wake up at 4am Christmas morning. What’s my point? Well, knowing all this, it should come as no surprise to anyone that I can’t wait until December to see Shea again. So instead I’m going to see her next month. And staying for the full 90 days this time. We get to spend her birthday and our anniversary together. More importantly, we get to spend some good quality time together. I miss her so much, but now there’s a light at the end of the tunnel of distance, it’s much easier.

No. While it is shitty to say those things to people, there is a difference between privileged people saying shitty things to people who they are in a position of power over, who they are participating in the oppression of, and the same comments being made by minorities to their oppressors, or by privileged people to one another.

It’s not meant to be bashing Christianity, but those people who attempt to use “but it says in the bible” as an argument against things, such as gay marriage. Because those people shouldn’t be able to cherry pick their arguments - either live by every outdated line of the book, or accept that some of it just doesn’t apply anymore.
